i had a dream

February 25th, 2006 · 4 Comments

that my mom used to be a deejay. not like me. the other kind. the radio kind. and she owns this huge radio tower for a station that is now-defunct. and she said – hey hannah, you should come set up shop here with your turntables and you can use the old frequency to play your music for everyone.

and in my dream, i said sure! what a great idea! and aaron and I both lugged our tables to the tower and records, etc. and it came my turn to play over airwaves.

do you ever have a dream where you want to do something but you keep seeming to find a million little things that need to get done first before you can acomplish the thing you set out to do? that was this.

i’ll put a song on first off my playlist – to keep the masses entertained while i get my records together. oh wait. another song, the first has run out. where are my records? why aren’t they organized? i can spin like this, i’ll never find anything. wait – crap. another song. where’s aaron. why can’t i do this?

and this dream reminds me of several things.

1. i miss playing for people. the little white card that says “I believe in you.” that ‘yeah!!!’ from jade. the hannah + dave record exchange.

2. sometimes you need to just jump without looking.

3. we need to find new hosting for our litte radio station.

4. time to play again.

love,
hannah

Doh of course you’re not just another Pal… you don’t drive your pals over to your “Thinking Spot” in the middle of the night… problem is, apparently he’s doesn’t seem to have that spine you claim he does, when it comes down to this… solution? Just make him comfortable, maybe he can sense your nervousness…

coherency and love rarely mix. Confusion however, always adds kick to the potion. Hang in there lovey, it will all be ok.

    Proud of you!

I love that you blocked his handshake and gave him a hug instead! Go you!!! Next time if the boy is still hesitant but you want some smoochies, grab him at the door, kiss the live out of him, put him back down on his feet and then thank him for a lovely evening! Just an idea!
    love lots!
